P. 6
“I get anxious from: what people think of me;
sports or other major events; tests; being hurt
physically; what people think of what I do; what
could go wrong.” - (A. 11y.)
“…when teachers are not explaining things to
a certain extent and I do not understand the
instructions.” - (C. 15y.)
“Rude kids, kids who play instead of doing as
they’re told in the classroom. Writing tasks.
When I feel like I am not going to finish my task
on time” - (R. 10y.)
What makes me anxious
or worried at school?
“Assessments and friends create anxiety and
stress.” - (H. 17y.)
“I feel worried that I don’t get my work done.
I worry teachers are annoyed with me. I
worry teachers won’t believe me if I tell them
I am sick. I sometimes worry that my friends
think I am annoying. I have to get changed into
a PE uniform in the morning and even though
I mostly make it in time, I still feel stressed out
and worry about being late. Going back on a
Monday is really hard!” - (V. 9 y.)
